Mettams Pool, Marmion Marine Park

I snorkelled at Mettams Pool last weekend and took some nice photos of sea anemones. These animals, even the plain-looking ones, can look really amazing on a macro shot.

The beach

The beautiful sargassum seaweeds that form golden patches underwater

And the sea anemones!!!

You just don't need to know what species they are to see that they are beautiful.

Nice! We were snorkelling there on both Saturday and Sunday mornings!

Hi Ria,

The nems don't look that impressive until you get a close-up.

Hi Robert,

It was nice at Mettams Pool last weekend. It's going to be a really low tide again this Saturday. Have you been to Mettams when the tide is really low? Good opportunity to explore the reef.

Hi Chai
Stunning image of the "mouth" of the Sea Anemone.
Wonderful.
