Penguin Island - fishes (2)

What a sight to behold!

I watched a huge school of banded toadfish (Torquigener pleurogramma) parading past me at Penguin Island.

What a sight! So many fish in the one group, like that. I am familiar with seeing tiny fish in schools, but they are mid-sized Toadies.
I know they can strip bait of one's hook in a second.
Cheers

Hi Denis,

"I know they can strip bait of one's hook in a second"
- I have no doubt about it!

By the way, I got seven toadies in a row the first time I went fishing. And that was at a small jetty on the Swan River, near my flat. Naturally I was disappointed.
