Rottnest Island - fishes at Green Island (2)

Red-lipped morwong (Cheilodactylus rubrolabiatus) - my favourite. They have tasty lips that you want to kiss!

A western scalyfin (Palma occidentalis)

Blackspot goatfish (Parupeneus signatus)

In this last photo, there's also a juvenile western scalyfin (I think).

Nice to see some different species of fish, Chai.
The fiorst one really does have odd looking lips, doesn't it. Protruding.
Cheers

Hi Denis,

It must be the angle I took the shot from. That the lips look protruding.

Actually they just look like normal fish lips, except that they are red AND large!

Cheers,
Chai
